This fabrication company chose QB Manufacturing for this job specifically because of our ability to work with long plates. Due to length, these parts tend to warp, so in the final installation, they are pressed flat. We mapped out the distortion, made a swept surface model, and machined each piece so the thickness of the radius was consistent. Each part required two setups to be completed. Not only were we one of the few machine shops able to take on this job, but we were able to complete the job more affordably than the client expected. Another job on-spec, on time, and on budget!
